Foods that Cause Candida
What Foods Feed Candida?
FOODS THAT CANDIDA/YEAST FEEDS ON:
Because of extensive advertising in America and the high sugar,
high fat American diet, many of the following foods have become
staples in the home but they will feed your Candida so now is the
time to begin eliminating them. This will be easier once the effect
of the Candida Yeast Recovery program begins - often within a few
days.
FOODS HIGH IN SUGAR
Brown, Granulated, Maple, Date, Turbinado, Powdered, Dextrose, Fructose,
Galactose, Flucose, Gylcogen, Lactose, Maltose, Mannitol, Monosaccharide,
Polysaccharides, Sorbitol, Sucrose and Molasses.
ARTIFICIAL SWEETNERS
Nutrasweet, Equal and Saccharin (Stevia or Splenda can be used in
moderation.)
TABLE SALT CAFFEINE
YEAST and YEAST CONTAINING PRODUCTS, including ALCOHOLIC
and BAKED GOODS,
as well as:
Mushrooms, cheeses with rinds, coffee, most teas, condiments
containing vinegar (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, salad dressing),
fermented foods and drinks (cider, root beer), bottles or canned
fruit juices, dried fruits, strawberries, melons, canned fruits,
leftovers (older than 24 hours), malted products (barley malt,
malted milk, cereals, candies), peanuts, pistachios, peanut
oil, peanut butter, processed and/or smoked meats and smoked
fish (beef jerkey, corned beef, hot dogs, luncheon meats, pastrami,
sausages), pickled foods and tempeh. Once you begin
to feel better, you can reintroduce some of the above foods
into your diet - IN MODERATION - observing whether or not these
foods will enflame your candida condition. |
